As the Apostle John continued to record events in Christ's ministry – his tabernacling in the midst of his people (cf. John 1:14) – we can see the tabernacle's bronze basin or laver in Christ's conversation with the Samaritan women at Sychar's well. She needed to draw water from the living well of salvation that brought cleansing and true satisfaction, the water that Christ alone provides . She in turn became a conveyor of living water to others which brought about an amazing landscape transformation. Are you, Christian, watering the earth?
