… remember that the ultimate goal of hospitality is … to minister to and serve (others). The focus is on the open door, not the elaborate and full table. The purpose is not to entertain but to help, serve, and profit other people …The open door signifies a willingness to minister to others, rather than always seeking to be ministered unto. The open door is a sign of the open heart, and the open heart is one that has been flooded with the love of Christ and the grace of God.
