What is the heart of worship? At the center of it all is sacrifice, particularly the Lamb of God who was given in our place. We no longer bring an animal as our substitute by which we ascended into God's presence, but we come through the Lord Jesus Christ. Through Christ, we are able to enter God's presence. Christ's sacrifice alone can bring us into God's presence, but in Christ all believers are called to be living sacrifices even in our worship, consecrated and set apart to God's service.
