Teaching the World to Sing

Preacher:
Passage: Psalm 100:1-5

God has created us to be emotive and thus we love to sing – we must sing. The world sings, too, but it sings songs of what it yearns to be can never can be - at peace and harmony. But Christians have been giving a song to sing – a psalm of thanksgiving, Psalm 100 – and we are able to sing it as we come into God's presence because he reconciled sinners to himself through the new and living way of the body of Jesus Christ. This is the song that we must sing as believers, the song of God's mercies and kindnesses to us, and the music we must teach the world to sing.

The Rev. Laurence Windham serves as senior pastor at Saint Peter Presbyterian Church in Bristol, VA, a church in the Communion Reformed Evangelical Churches.
