The pastor to the Hebrews sets forth the saints of old in the Hall of Faith (chapter 11 of Hebrews) as examples for us to follow of those who believed God even when times were hard and they faced persecution, or when they didn't see God's promises being fulfilled in their lifetimes. "By faith, by faith, by faith ..." That's how we are called to live, as we look forward to the fulfillment of God's promises to us in Christ. With them, we look ahead to what is now unseen being realized face-to-face. Until then, live and pray that you will be remembered as one who lived by faith in God's sure Word.
