The menorah or lampstand within the Holy Place of the tabernacle not only reminded Israel of God's truth and revelation, but it pointed to the greatest revelation of God:  his Son, our great and eternal high priest. Christ came into the world as "the light of the world" (John 8:12) to turn our darkness into light, just as the man born blind came to see - not just physically, but with eyes that could see the living lampstand who scatters the darkness of our lives.
