As often as we need our daily bread, so, too, do we need the Lord's forgiveness. As we begin to grasp just how great an offense sin is against God, we start to glimpse how big a petition this is. The debt we owed God and could never pay was freely paid by Christ for us. How big, then, are the debts others owe you? If you don't think you can forgive others their sin, then you don't know how much you truly owed.
