Great reading for a Sunday, the day we celebrate the resurrection of Christ (yes, every Sunday, not just Easter). This is a funeral / memorial message, but one that is “real” and celebrates what makes sense in the light of death. Someday we will all face death. Are you ready? Thank you, Pastor Toby J. Sumpter (Trinity Reformed Church, Moscow, ID), for an excellent way to begin a day of resurrection glory and help prepare us all for death. Thank you for encouraging us, even while we recognize the brokenness of this world, to live with the certainty that with Christ’s life, death and resurrection the world is being put aright and one day death will be gone forever. Thank you for helping us to mourn not as the world mourns, but as Christians ought – not pretending that pain and grief aren’t real, but rather, the reality of pain and grief and hurt are part of God’s good purposes and love for us even as he continues to all things to right in due season.

This is well worth the read and an excellent Sunday morning read. Txs, Toby.
